Kamakhya: In the Womb of Tantra
Where Shakti bleeds, desire becomes sacred, and creation returns to its source.

Why Kamakhya Devi temple is seen as cradle of tantra and especially harcore , dark tantra. What is that scarry about it?
The goddesses of the Tantra, the ten Mahavidyas honored at Kamakhya, appear frightening only to eyes that have forgotten where they came from. A woman bleeding. A woman giving birth. A widow and a crow. A body defending itself or killing a demon enemy. There is nothing strange in any of it. These are the oldest facts of being alive, and the Tantra simply refuses to look away from them.
I keep on insisting that we esthecisize life, we beautify and septicize our existence. We strip it of it's own truth wich contains, blood and sweat. We come in this life though a process that has noting pink and fluffy of a babyshower party, but blod and pain; we come though a body that miraculously created life through nurturing and sacrifice. When we die our bodies go back into the nature to feed the lil' creatures of the earth while entering another cercle of life.
We have been removed from nature for so long that its ordinary rhythms now are read as wild, scarry, even esoteric. What we call weird is only what we have stopped witnessing, what we brushed away under the carpet of illusion.
I mean we live in system that works on the illusion of imortality ; capitalism is working on the illusion of all-powerful individual that prevales life and death.
We forget that Life arrives with death folded inside it, that even the celles of our body die at every moment so we can renew and life can be sustained inside us.
This Vidyas ( wisdoms) goddess hold both life and death unapologetic. Also they remind us of the creative power of the feminine, which got so strangled into ages of patriarchal conditioning.
We have cushioned existence so thoroughly into the blanket of ignorance and storytelling, that we lost contact with its raw grain, with the unedited authenticity of what is actually here, undeniably truthful.
Maa Kālī reveals her as the Kala, time, death, dissolution of ignorance and the power that exceeds form. Maa Tārā as the power that carries across and saves. Maa Tripurasundarī as beauty, desire and consciousness ordered into the cosmos. Maa Bhuvaneśvarī as the vast space in which the worlds appear. Maa Bhairavī as a warrior yogini, as intensity, tapas and transformative fire. Maa Chinnamastā as the terrifying circulation of life through sacrifice, sexuality, death and nourishment. Maa Dhūmāvatī as absence, loss, old age and the residue left when forms disappear. Maa Bagalāmukhī as stambhana, the power of arresting or immobilising, protection from all forms of blackmagic. Maa Mātaṅgī( tantric Saraswati) as speech, art, music, knowledge and what crosses the boundaries of purity, she has no boundaries and everyone is her kid. Maa Kamalā( tantric Lakshmi) as abundance, fertility and the flourishing of manifested life.
Ma Kamakhya as the Mother, The Mahāmāyā, the Shakti itself, Creation itself.
So let's go back to the fear of this frightening godesses..is it fear we fell of ignorance?
Is is undeniably truthful that all is a dance of creation, sustainability and dissolution.
That Mother Nature has decided to have us here and also to let us flow into her cercle of transformative power .
Why shall we fear truth?
The moment we accept that we are a part of this flow, that we live in the skin, in the blood by grace of Creation, maybe will learn humility.
Because if we want to ascend the human condition, we need to descend in the deppth of the Shakti peetha, accepting the Creature within as a Divine manifestation of the absolute genius of Creation. Jai maa!
